I see no such switch or element listed by 'amixer' (you can check
below to see if I missed something). I did try loading the module with the
symbol 'snd_external_amp=1', but it didn't help.
Attached are some (hopefully) relevant debug data:
o 'version' is /proc/asound/version.
o 'cards' is /proc/asound/cards.
o 'devices' is /proc/asound/devices.
o 'amixer_contents' is the output of 'amixer contents', which lists
all known audio elements and their settings.
o 'modules' is the output of 'lsmod', listing all loaded modules in
the system.
