first, let me introduce myself. alsa-users, this is jsedano; jsedano,
theses are alsa-users ;-)
I'm trying to install alsa on mi Debian Potato 2.2r3. I'm working with
alsa-driver-0.5.12a alsa-lib-0.5.10b and alsa-utils-0.5.10. The sound
works in Linux using OSS sb driver (compiled into the kernel; using the
module leds to strange behaviour), so the hardware is OK. But I need to
install an application which uses the alsa libraries, so I need to
install alsa.
My /etc/modules.conf relevant files are:

The IO, IRQ and DMA parameters are being used under the OSS
installation, but when I try to load the module:
jsedano@taran:~$ sudo modprobe snd-card-es18xx

Have you got any idea?
One more thing. I've read about a module called "snd-card-detect" or
something else, but I've not been able to find it.
