I have a SB Live! 5.1 and 5.1 surround sound speakers. The center
connector for the 5.1 surround sound doubles as the digital out for the
5.1 card... I was wondering if it's possible to enable 5.1 surround
sound without digital out, since digital out to my analog speakers just
makes a nice static noise on the center speaker.
The only snd_extin/snd_extout configuration in the INSTALL file which
mentions 5.1 is
* Creative Card 5.1/w Digital out + LiveDrive [0x3fc3/0x1fff]
Which is definitely not my setup, minus the 5.1.
If I try
* Creative Card wo/Digital out [0x0003/0x1f03]
it only seems to use the front 2 speakers, not the rear or center.
Any hints?
