I have a Hammerfall Lite on a RedHat6.2 system. The problem I have is
how to get to play a stereo file. I get one channel on the S/PDIF but
nothing on the other one. I do not use the ADAT interface at present
-- nothing to attach it too -- but I would like to hear both channels
of a stereo file. I have been using aplay mainly. I dumped the
configuration of the card (alsacntrl) and I have no idea what to do
with it.
Sort of unrelated, but is there any documentation or case-studies in
/etc/asound.conf? My other machine with a M-Audio DiO 2496 works
mostly, but recording from the DAT machine seems to have only 25% of
the amplitude.
