default in configuring/installing alsa? all i have working or producing sound is pd (pure-data application) with four channels working, which is most important to me :) , but i guess it would be nice to have xmms or even gtcd to play. i suppose aplay works assuming that is what the alsaconf binary uses, but no native linux applications seem to produce any sound. i have alsa0.9.0beta12 installed. What would be the best route for getting the native linux sound apps to run? -thanks mark k.
