I have a Pioneer 106s DVD drive. I have connected the 2 pin digital out
to my RME 96/36 HammerFall sound card. I can play mp3s, oggs, wave files
and the sound from mpeg movies through this card to my preamp just fine.
However playing Cds and DVDs result in no sound.
using gtcd results in no error messages but i get no sound.
Alsa player reports:
failed to configure output device...trying OSS
Closing already opened plugin?!
Xine reports:
