Hi,
I'm trying to run TWO Soundcards, my older Terratec Base II PCI (es1938) and
a via686a onboard one.
Since I added my via686a, my sound doesn't work any more. Additionally, I
guess that It never worked right - It seems that for example arts wasn't abel
to communicate with alsa, it was only able to play sound using the oss driver.
But let me tell you my experiences:

My problem is: I'm not shure, wether it is the right driver (es1938), because
it doesn't seems to have been working the right way. And I don't know, how to
get both cards running. I can select several options in my BIOS, some
sound-blaster stuff, mpu401 ports and so on.
I got both cards working a bit, but not very well, that means maybe just oss
was working or only the soundoutput and not the microphone, etc.
I'm looking for a clean way ;-)
Additionally, could it be a problem, that both cards uses the same irq?
Thanks,
Jan Torbn
