Halo.
This is my conf.modules:
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
alias eth0 3c59x
# ALSA portion
alias char-major-116 snd
alias snd-card-0 snd-intel8x0
# OSS/Free portion
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
playing the sound works perfect, no problems
but I can't record the sound.
What I do:
1) connect by radio tuner to line-in jack in my sound card
2) Connect my speakers to appriopriate jack in my sound card.
3) using aumix:
switch volume and line-in to max and then I hear radio in my speakers
rest of the switches in aumix are set to mix
3a) set record source to line-in
4) start recording:
root# rec /tmp/pl.wav
5) play /tmp/pl.wav - and I hear the silent, nothing is recorded, though the length of
record is appriopriate
The same situation is while connecting my radio to microfone socket instead of line-in
socket
Is snd-intel8x0 supporting sound recording at all,
or there is another problem.
I've no debug logs because my version is :
alsa-driver-0.9.0rc1 and there was a problem with comiling with debug feature once
