Hi alsa-guys, I am fairly new to ALSA and I have a little problem. I use it for one week and I can't use my gameport-joystick anymore. I have ALSA 0.9rc2 patched into the kernel with the jp14 patchset. This patchset uses the following patches:
alsa-remove-oss-2.4.19 alsa-remove-oss-2.4.18 alsa-remove-oss-core alsa-0.9.0rc1 alsa-0.9.0rc2 alsa-adapt-2 kbuild-alsa I have also installed the alsa-libs and alsa-utils packages for 0.9rc2. These is the relevant kernel config part for ALSA (I left out comments and the 'not set' options): CONFIG_SOUND=y CONFIG_SND=y CONFIG_SND_SEQUENCER=y CONFIG_SND_OSSEMUL=y CONFIG_SND_MIXER_OSS=y CONFIG_SND_PCM_OSS=y CONFIG_SND_SEQUENCER_OSS=y CONFIG_SND_RTCTIMER=y CONFIG_SND_VERBOSE_PRINTK=y CONFIG_SND_ENS1371=y I enable the joystick stuff in the ALSA configuration file and proc shows that it is activated: Marx:~$ cat /proc/asound/card0/audiopci Ensoniq AudioPCI ES1371 Joystick enable : on Joystick port : 0x200 I searched a bit on Google, but could not find a solution. Oh, btw I have a Soundblaster 128 PCI soundcard, if this matters in the joystick case. My joystick worked with the same setup before, when I was using OSS. Is there some configuration step I forgot or is there some problem with the alsa-driver which keeps my joystick from working ? Anyways, I appreciate any help and/or suggestions. I am not subscribed, so I would be nice to Cc: me in replies. Regards, -- Boris Buegling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "Soll ich den Laden abends abschliessen ?"
