I'm trying to install a korg 1212 soundcard into my compaq workstation.
I configured the card with the bios tool of compaq on irq 5.
I followed the install section on the souncard matrix page for the korg 1212. I use
the debian alsa packages.
All modules (snd-card-korg1212, snd-pcm-oss, snd-mixer-oss, snd-seq-oss) are loaded
fine. With lsmod I could see them all.
I put an asoundrc file into /etc. Also chmod all audio devices for world usage.

}
When I start a few aplay commands I hear some sound and a lot of noise ticks. In the
messages file it looks like that the card is working. After 3 or 4 aplays the system
will not respond to the keyboard and the mouse. Then only a hard reboot is enough to
get it working again.
Could someone advise me on this? I would like to get it working.
Is there anyone out there with a working korg 1212? Will you please share your config
with me?
