Hi Guys, After having searched tru this list RTFM, STFW and STFF i am still mistified by this problem. I hope you can help me work this out.
I have a Toshiba 460CDX. It have a built in OPL3SA2 chipset, that i know is working fine. The fist thing i did when i bought it was to reformat it and install linux on ( the sound was all fine whit windows 98 ). After the initial install i tried Alsa. I was able to get the module to load properly whit the settings tooked from the bios : aliase snd-opl3sa2 options snd-opl3sa3 snd_port=0x370 \ snd_sb_port=0x220 \ snd_wss_port=0x530 \ snd_midi_port=0x330 \ snd_fm_port=0x388\ snd_irq=7 \ snd_dma1=1 \ snd_dma2=0 \ snd_isapnp=0 I unmuted the Master and the PCM chanel whit no problem, but no sound at all was comming out of the speaker ..... I pluged in a pair of headphone to make sur it was not a problem wit the speakers themeselve. Whem the volume knod is at his maximum level, I have a tiny little sound that is following the graphic equalizer of XMMS ... I looked for a way to unmute the laptop whit the functions keys on it and ... guess what it didnt change a thing. Did any one of you got that working on this laptop? Any fomr of help will be Greately appreciated JS Bruneau Postmaster Zentekonline Corp. ________________________________________________ Message sent using DmWMail 2.0 ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
