No sound... The drivers are compiled, and inserted.
I start the alsa driver as follows
[root@slaptop root]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/alsasound restart
Shutting down sound driver: done
Starting sound driver: snd-cs4232 done
when the drivers start, I can hear a tic-tic-tic in the speaker
My /var/log/messages says nothing, and there are nothing in the dmesg
either.
When I do a cat /proc/asound/cards, I got the following
[root@slaptop root]# cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [ ]: ??? - ???
??? at 0x530, irq 5, dma 1&0
When I run alsamixer, it's starting just fine, but in the top left
corner, I have the following :
Card : ???
Chip : ???
Item : PCM
I do running Redhat 8.0, on a Dell Latitude CPi D300XT.
I have also tried to configure with ./configure --with-debug=detect
--with-isapnp=yes
Are there someone who can help me ?
Regards christian
