I've followed the instructions to use TiMidity as the ALSA sequencer client. I've installed TiMidity (2.11.3) with the following configuration:
./configure --enable-audio=alsa --enable-alsaseq --enable-gtk --enable-spectrogram I then installed ALSA (0.9.0) . When I try to execute 'timidity' (e.g. "timidity -iA -B2,8 -Os -EFreverb=0") I get the following error message: /dev/snd/pcm00: Sound protocol is not compatible Couldn't open ALSA pcm device (`s') The device "/dev/snd/pcm00" doesn't actually exist. In the "/dev/snd/" directory I have things like "controlC0", "midiC0D0" and "pcmC0D0c". Any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
