In order to not have to run alsamixer every time I boot into Linux,
I thought I had to run alsamixer, select the sound levels I want,
and then run alsactl with the "store" option, but evidently this is
wrong! :-)
Would someone be so kind as to tell me how to save the sound levels
I set with alsamixer, so that I don't have to run it every time?
Thank you for your patience -
- Andrew H.
save with,
alsactl store
then restore with,
alsactl restore
thats all
Nehal
Ah - and then put "/usr/sbin/alsactl restore" in ~/.bash_profile ?
- Andrew
no, put in startup script someone in /etc, i don't know for
you, but for me (slackware) it is /etc/rc.d/rc.local
