Hmmm. Did you run the 'snddevices' script in the alsa-driver source after 
you built it? Also, check the permissions on the /dev/dsp* devices. Does 
'alsamixer' work correctly?

Ive only done this with the Delta44, never used the USB interface(s) yet.
