Hi all, I have an HP laptop with an ali5451 soundchip. It works fine in windows but fails on Linux :-(
I'm running alsa 0.9.2. The error I get is always something like this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] usr]# aplay /usr/share/sounds/shutdown1.wav Playing WAVE '/usr/share/sounds/shutdown1.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo aplay: pcm_write:1025: write error: Input/output error
No sound is produced at all. Sometimes it does do just one fraction of a second of sound, and then returns with the above mentioned error.
