Hi there, I got alsa CVS as of 2003-04-14 and I compiled it successfuly on SuSE 8.0. When I start alsa it gives me following error:
rcalsasound start Starting sound driver: snd-emu10k1 /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/kernel/sound/acore/snd-page-alloc.o: unresolved symbol snd_compat_vmalloc_to_page /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/kernel/sound/acore/snd-page-alloc.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/kernel/sound/acore/snd-page-alloc.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/kernel/sound/acore/snd-page-alloc.o: insmod snd-emu10k1 failed I use Audigy 2. What is interesting: when module snd-page-alloc from the older alsa-0.9.2 remains loaded and I start alsa everything works. But not with the newly compiled module. Looks like something changed in memory management. What I'm missing? Can anybody help? Regards, Ing.
