Oh mate, I dunno too much about this howto, it's using
the specialised Debian method of installing the
drivers form source, I'd recommend for your own sake
doing it the standard source way, unpack the
alsa-driver package and ./configure (with switches)
and then make install, this Debian method is something
you'd have to ask the author about.
