As we're at it I have another question: I wasn't successful in my attempts to compile hdspmixer yet (which I assume is due to my limited experience with this kind of work). I was asking on debian-devel if it is planed to pack alsa-tools for Debian. Would it be appropriate to make a "request for packaging" on alsa-tools 0.9.6. (We have the other alsa 0.9.6 packages already). So my question is: do this versions of hdsploader and hdspmixer (envy24control e.a.) work, or should we better wait and use the CVS version?
