Can anyone who has got i8x0 sound (especially SiS 7012) working with linux kernel 2.6.0 help me do likewise?
Whatever I try, my SiS 7012 on-board sound does not appear in /proc/asound/cards. It may be an ALSA problem, but it's just as likely that I've messed up the kernel config in some other way.
By the way, sound was working OK with i810_audio OSS module on kernel 2.4.21, so it's almost certainly not a hardware issue.
Does anyone have a known-good kernel config I could use as a starting point?
