Hi,

I am having a problem getting all sound applications running after
switching to ALSA:

Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 0.9.6.
Compiled on Oct 24 2003 for kernel 2.4.22-21mdk with versioned symbols.

I have a SB PCI16 (snd-ens1371) and a philips webcam with a mic
(usb-audio). /dev/sound/adsp only allows me to use the SB card, but
/dev/sound/dsp (according to XMMS) is the webcam. So no OSS apps can
play sound any longer and I can't use the webcam mic under ALSA native
apps.

What should I be looking at? Most important to me is to get gnomemeeting
working again (OSS app at the mos - ALSA coming), but I would like to
get the webcam mic going if I can.

/etc/modules.conf:
probeall scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi
above snd-ens1371 snd-pcm-oss
probeall usb-interface usb-uhci
post-install pwc /sbin/insmod --force /lib/modules/usb/pwcx-2.4.20.o
>/dev/null 2>&1  || :

# ALSA portion
alias char-major-116 snd
alias snd-card-0 snd-ens1371
# module options should go here

# OSS/Free portion
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-slot-0 es1371

# card #1
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss

Thanks,
Nick.
