Hi!
I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D 8830 laptop with a Intel-onboard soundcard. Most
information can be found here about the laptop (it's not a 7830, but they're almost
the same except 8830:s have faster CPU and more memory):

My computer is based on the Intel 845G chipset.
3,06 Ghz Pentium 4 with Hyperthreading
1024 MB DDR

My soundcard, modem, pc-card-slot and another device (unknown) share same IRQ. Then I
try to load the ALSA drivers for my card they just fail. When I try to load
OSS-drivers, they who are in the Linux 2.4.23 kernel they give me this message:

I'm guessing the problem with my soundcard is that the ALSA-drivers recognize the id,
because they fail with similar errors as the OSS driver. My pc-card-bus doesn't work
either but this mailing-list isn't about that...
By the way, everything works in Windows
