Hmmmmm. But this is not really the way for automating startup. What if I
put the following in my /etc/modules.conf:

alias snd-card-0 snd-es18xx
options snd-es18xx irq=10

Will this assign IRQ 10 while at the same time maintaining the internal
pnp functionality and pnp setup?
