well, now things sorta work. well, no error messages. and no sound :(( interestingly enough, even though i have a sound blaster live!, and lspci says i have the emu10k1 chip, alsamixer has the following information in the upper left hand corner: Card: Sound Blaster Live! â Chip: SigmaTel STAC9708/11 â Item: Master is this normal????
