I have an M-Audio 2496 card in my Macintosh. I am running Debian Linux unstable. I seem to have got the driver modules and so forth installed and am able to run the envy24control. The only thing that I can get to come out of the speakers is digital noise no matter what inputs and outputs I select. I checked the mailing list and found some things I haven't tried yet. In the meantime, what I want to know has anyone successfully used this card on a PowerPC computer running Linux and ALSA?
I have gotten the internal speaker, tumbler driver to work with Linux/ALSA and the card does work fine under OS X.
