NX = USB.
I've loaded the USB thing on a Win32 machine once, that loaded some firmware of some sort. After that, load under Linux with the snd-usb-audio driver and unmute PCM and speaker using your favourite sound mixer.
It doesn't work under Linux out-of-the-box, at least not for me. The single load under Win32 was required to get it to work.
