I am trying to compile the latest Alsa drivers on Fedora Core 4 in hoping it will solve my problem with muting the internal speakers when using my headphones with the Intel HDA chipset.
The problem with compiling is that the 'make' created .o object files instead of .ko files. This breaks the 'make install' as it cant stat any of the .ko files.
