Hi all, I'm experiencing some crapping noise when playing sound with ardour/jamin.
The amount of crap/distortion depend on the amount of low frequency. In jamin when playing higher frequency in solo mode, i have a quite clean sound ever if i put a high volume in ardour. When playing only middle frequency i get more distortion, when playing only low frequency i get lot of distortion. When i plug my bass to the UA25 with direct monitoring "on", i get a clean sound. I get only the ugly sound when recording in ardour and playing it back again. I i use the built in card of my laptop, i don't get this behaviour. So i guess this is a software issue. And certainly a driver issue. I am using alsa 1.0.4 with a 2.6.8 linux kernel on a debian/demudi system. Does anyone have any idea about this?
