Hello, I am thinking of getting a cheap sound card with SPDIF out and a built-in synth. The SB Live 7.1 and SB Audigy SE have attracted my attention.
How good is ALSA support for these two at present? In particular, is the synth well supported, effects and all? And can one digitally record the results of the synth's operation?
