Hello,
I've finally found an "old" Echo Layla24 sound card with the pcmcia
adaptor.
I've choosen this one, 'cause I was sure it would work on Linux, but
it doesn't seem to be as simple !!!
Has anyone informations about this card ?
Yes, should work. Please tell us exactly what you expect to happen,
that doesn't happen.

Hy Lee,
Thanks for your answer.
*_My system is :_*
Laptop Compaq Armada M700 pIII 850 Mhz (which has allready a built-in
soundcard (ESS Technology ES1978 Maestro 2E (rev 10))
Debian unstable with "home-built" realtime-kernel 2.6.12, hotplug,
alsabase, alsa-utils, alsa-tools, alsa-firmware ...
*
_My problem : _*
When I plug the Layla cardbus adapter, lspci shows me the new device,
but nothing new in the /var/log/kernel or /var/log/messages.
When I try to launch echomixer it tells me "No Echoaudio cards found,
sorry. "
Moreover, I can't configure the card via alsaconf, because it shows me
only the built-in card.
I have the feeling it's a hotplug or firmware stuff, but not sure ! (and
don't know how to solve it)
