Hi,
Does the ice1724 driver support analog output at all, or does the [RCAo]
in the 'notes' column in the ALSA soundcard matrix really mean that
*only* S/PDIF is supported? My M-Audio Revolution 5.1 is connected to a
stereo amplifier, so I can't use S/PDIF, but I haven't had any luck with
the analog jack. I do actually get sound out of it but it's so distorted
that it's only barely recognizable. I've tried it with Ubuntu (kernel
2.6.10) and Geexbox (2.6.14), and the problem was the same in both cases.
Do I have to get a different soundcard, or is there another solution?
Actually, if the driver really doesn't support analog output (sounds
strange to me), are there specs available for the card somewhere so that
I could theoretically implement it myself? I have a copy of Linux Device
Drivers lying around, just waiting for a reason to be studied. ;-)
