I guess its been the DSP acuse I brought the sb back to the shop and took a Hercules Muse 5.1 and that lil beauty worked - sort of - straight away! I get sound as yet on the console but not in KDE! Soundserver is active and I primarily use just the KsCD App. So I will have to click around a bit to get sound using KsCD I suppose!
