I cannot get my front mic input working on my asus p4p-800se (ICH5)
motherboard.

It does work under windows xp.

I have upgraded to alsa 1.0.11 (gentoo alsa-driver ebuild), but still nothing
doing.

I have tried all kinds of mixer settings. I had assumed that the mic1/mic2
switch was the one I needed to use, but this doesn't work. In either postion
the rear mic input is active, but the front one isn't.

I thought I read somewhere that front mic support had been added a while back.
Am I mistaken, or ought this to work now?

Many thanks
Robert
