Hello, I'm thinking about buying an Audigy2 NX but fear the trouble with alsa config. Does the box work well in 5.1 mode or do I have to expect trouble? (alsa and my via82xx, for example, resist to play native 5.1--yes, with 5.1 audio sources, xine, <place here>, and so on) and I have to spread the front to center and rear). How *independent* is this solution? Is it working like a usual soundcard? What is going through the USB audio channel? AC3, S/PDIF? Does the alsa driver send raw data or is it mangled up somehow (software encoded to 5.1, for example) before being sent to the box?
