Hi Alsa Team,
I want to grab the audio coming into the analog
input (with ices and send it to icecast).
But I get only silence. It used to work with Redhat9
on the same Hardware.
Since this is a server machine without X, Speaker
Boxes etc. I use the tool "record" (from xawtv) to see
the input level of the signal, which seems to be mute.
Interestingly when I start record, it says:
mixer: havn't found device 'line'
mixer: available: 'dig1'
and also when I cat /proc/asound/oss/devices
0: [0- 0]: mixer
1: : sequencer
2: [0- 0]: raw midi
3: [0- 0]: digital audio
4: [0- 0]: digital audio
8: : sequencer
9: [0- 0]: raw midi
I only get "digital audio". So I suspect that the
analog input is not present somehow.
But I don't know enough anyway. What should I try,
what information do you need?
I have many columns in alsamixer that I all maximised,
but that did not help.
info:
I installed Fedora5 that has Alsa 1.0.11rc2,
what I want worked with Redhat 9 (alsa version unknown)
with the same hardware. Mainboard Tyan Tiger MPX.
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [EWX2496 ]: ICE1712 - TerraTec EWX24/96
TerraTec EWX24/96 at 0x34c0, irq 16
cat /proc/asound/devices
2: : timer
3: : sequencer
4: [ 0- 0]: raw midi
5: [ 0- 0]: digital audio playback
6: [ 0- 0]: digital audio capture
7: [ 0] : control
cat /etc/asound.conf
defaults.pcm.card 0
defaults.ctl.card 0
defaults.pcm.device 0
(no ~/.asoundrc)
ls /dev/snd
controlC0 midiC0D0 pcmC0D0c pcmC0D0p seq timer
thanks in advance,
