OS - Fedora Core 5, 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5
Driver - Alsa Driver 1.0.12
Hardware:
Motherboard: ASUS A8N-VM
SoundMAX ADI ADI1986A 5.1 Channel
lspci | grep -i sound: 00: 10.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
Problem,
The sound card is configured using snd-intel-hda driver autodetected during installation. Currently only 2 channels are working. When i sellect 6ch in Channel Mode from alsamixer or gnome-volume-control then there is noise along with the sound.
Can anyone help me solve this problem so that i can use all the spekers in 5.1 channel.
