Dear friends, There is very little control over Edirol UA-25 hardware using Alsa.
I added information on the wiki: http://alsa.opensrc.org/Edirol_UA-25 The audio device has two microphone inputs. The problem is that there is no hardware Line-In 1, Line-In 2. Both microphone inputs are mixed at hardware level into one stereo stream. Even when pressing Mono button, the stream is still stereo. Incredible! Now, I would like to be able to record from the two inputs seperately, at software level, defining a recording PCM on left, another one on right. How can I make it?
