Hi!
I have currently some difficulties getting my sound-card to work properly.
The problems are
* The microphone jack is dead.
* The volume is pretty low. I have to turn it up to 84/84 (Master/PCM) to
hear it at a normal volume. On my other PCs this would blow out my eardrums.
* There are some noises on loud sounds and the quality is generaly low.
According to the the documentation and some user experiences i use the
following configuration:
* alsa-driver-1.0.14_rc2 with snd-hda-intel
* "model=laptop-eapd" in /etc/modules.d/alsa (model=laptop or 3stack
didn't work - no sound)
* position_fix=1 or 2 did not help
I discovered the following error message in dmesg output:

It did not work with alsa-1.0.13 and kernel-2.6.18 either.
