I'm struggling with controlling the 82801G chip in my Dell Dimension 5150C - the line input has the same sensitivity as the mic input (I assume this is not correct) and a normal domestic audio signal (i.e. the RCA output of my cassette player) overloads the front end. This does not happen when the system is using WinXP.
Is there any documentation with the source code? Do I need to install the entire kernel source tree to get to it?
