Hello!
I'm trying to use arecord on my Ubuntu Feisty system using my built in
sound card on a Dell Precision M65.
The device shows up in alsamixer as a capture device, but when I try
capturing from it using
arecord -d 1 foobar.wav
it just hangs around waiting, even if the -d 1 flag should make it
stop after 1 sec. After interrupting, content of the file is 44bytes
big with the content:
RIFF$WAVEfmt [EMAIL PROTECTED]@ data
I tried to insert a USB sound card I have, and were able to record from it using
arecord -d 10 -f S16_LE -c1 -r 44100 -D hw:1 foobar.wav
When I tried using hw:0, the device seemed to capture, but I got this
error when it stops:
arecord: pcm_read:1349: read error: Input/output errorian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo
I also get these:
Warning: rate is not accurate (requested = 8000Hz, got = 44100Hz)
please, try the plug plugin
How can I install the plug plugin???
