It's not an ALSA bug, it's a bug in the kernel's ACPI subsystem.

Of course.  This suggestion was just to confirm the bug.

If acpi=off fixes the problem then the only solution is to get the
kernel ACPI maintainers to fix the bug.  Upgrading the BIOS also may
help.
