This has never happened to me. Acutually my works again. I must have hit M on a window with alsamixer and muted the sound, that's why it was not working. Argh! Panic broke out. Now did you change /etc/modutils/alsa-base ? trabbi:/etc/modutils# tail -2 alsa-base # ToK 2007-01-14 options snd-hda-intel model=ref I tried to use alsamixergui, but have not been able to change the settings with this application.
