Well, I recently purchased an HP DV9580us, which happens to have the same sound card of yours.
All I did to get it working was getting the latest alsa-driver alsa-kernel and alsa-utils repositories from Mercurial, compiled and installed everything. Now it works (except for the mike). Make sure your modules are being installed to the correct kernel (check /lib/ dir) -- Rafael On 9/6/07, Lee Revell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On 9/6/07, Dan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I have also tried the following procedure, still no sound. > > [ ... ] > > > 12. reboot Sound works! > > > > Wait, do you mean the sound works after the procedure or not? > > Lee > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. > Still grepping through log files to find problems?
