Hi,
I am running Slackware 12.0 on the system mentioned above with
alsa-driver-1.0.15rc2 alsa-lib-1.0.15rc2 alsa-oss-1.0.14 and
alsa-utils-1.0.15rc1. My kernel is 2.6.21.5. My /etc/modprobe.d/sound
looks like:
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1 model=3stack
With this I get 5.1 sound but if I set model=3stack-dig (and IEC 958
appears in the mixer) it is impossible to get 5.1 sound, patch_realtek.c
though suggests you should use the latter one or it even should auto
detect (I am not a programmer). Has anyone a suggestion on how to
accomplish this?
Other thing I note, this mobo hass 3 jacks at the back and 2 at the front.
Is this still a 3stack?
