aplay -L reports:
$ aplay -L
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)
while aplay -l reports the card exists
$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: AICA [AICA], device 0: AICA PCM [AICA PCM]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
