Alright, I got this running for my Gentoo box...

Okay, I read your problem... streange, it doesn't occur with my output -
my config file is essentially the same as yours (except that I have the
stereoupmix filter as default). I also have seen that you didn't get any
replies - that's sad - what kind of soundcard do you have?
