Yes, of course. I tried using the Gnome-Volume-Manager and alsamixer.
There is one thing that I haven't test: unmutting only one of the 4
switches...

Alsamixer keeps its settings, I checked it right now

I don't have any .asoundrc on my $HOME directory. What would be a
correct asoundrc file for me? Can it be done to system level instead
user level?
