Hi,
I'm trying to get audio on my Asus ET2300 AIO to play nice. Front speakers
work as expected with the snd-hda-intel module, but various configuration
I've tried don't give me result on the other speakers (1x subwoofer, 4x
'spatial array speakers')

I've tried various module parameters (model=) and various versions of the
alsa modules (Ubuntu saucy, latest dkms, realtek alsa driver compilation).
Nothing but the front speakers gives any audible output; either directly
through alsa or when configuring pulseaudio to use multiple channels.
I guess the essential issue is I don't quite understand what the expected
result should be from an alsa-technical perspective. How should I know if
the subwoofer and spatial speakers are even recognized? (From dmesg, aplay
-l , cat /proc/something etc) Knowing this will help me understand possible
next steps to investigate.
Last note - the sound is identical to what Windows 8 produces without the
realtek audio driver installed.. (only using the front speakers).
Any hints are welcome! I don't mind technical instructions, but I'm not
alsa-savvy so some context will help.
Many thanks
Luite
