After the upgrade on my Intel Nuc i5 (Intel HDA)
there was no sound anymore.
The pavucontrol is configured with
Digital Stereo (HDMI 2) Output (unplugged)
and the Output Device is
HDMI / DisplayPort 2 (unpluged).
The input bar shows the sound dB.

There is no sound output from
aplay -D hw:0,7   (or 3 or 1 or without -D) 
/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav
