Softball Ontario is excited to have the ability to have elementary school teachers/principles, after school programs or community groups use our new Active Softball program duringMarch Break! This is a great opportunity for March Break groups have their participants learn have fun and keep active while the weather warms up! This brand new program allows students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 to learn movement skills and concepts through the sport of softball. A great new way to keep your students active and fulfill elements of the physical education curriculum, the Active Softball Program is available for schools or groups to borrow for a period of one (1) month free of charge! What is included in an Active Softball Kit? An Active Softball Kit consists of everything you will need to introduce your class to the game of softball. Each Kit contains the following: * An oversized Active Softball Game Board (6' x 6') * A set of six (6) playing pieces and dice * A "Rules and Skills" Guide (Yours to keep!) * An equipment set, including: - 9 Softball Gloves - 8 Softballs - 4 Safety Bats - 4 Throw-Down Base Sets - 1 Batting-T * As well as gifts for your students! To address any concerns, all of the equipment is manufactured using child-safe materials; the bat and ball are made of a soft foam material, removing safety concerns that are created by aluminum bats and hard balls. Once you near the end of your loan period and your students have improved their softball skills, you even have enough equipment to have a full game of softball! Get Active Softball for March Break! Softball is ideal for indoor use to keep kids busy during March Break! As the Active Softball Program can be used indoors so, your class can play regardless of the weather. All teachers who request an Active Softball Kit for March Break will be entered in a draw to win a free t-shirt! How can you participate?
